R.I.P.

Funeral services were held for DRAGON and all family members were present. The above surgeon, also happened to prepare the lizard for burial (good, old ZIPLOC), dug the hole, and conducted the short, but solemn service (doctors do a lot these days). It was a lovely, spring afternoon. Some family members were pretty sad about the loss.

Many kind words were said and good times remembered.

Nathan even explained to a very sad Annie that Dragon is in a much better place now and after Jesus comes again and we are all resurrected, Dragon will even get his leg back and just think how happy he will be. That made her feel much better.

Then on the way to t-ball practice, Annie asked question after question about heaven and what it's like and where it is and what we do there forever...it was a question-intense, ten minute ride, but a great opportunity to talk to her about it all and reassure her.

Aww! With six kids in my family rest assured we had a pet cemetery. It's so so sad to a little one.

Poor Nathan! I am so proud of him for being so brave and wise about the whole thing. I love the picture of the kids with their hands over their hearts - so precious!

Wow, we never know when those life lessons are coming our way. I'm sure that's why Heavenly Father gave us families to help us learn all about LIFE... good and bad, happy and sad. Nathan is a wise boy and so very, very good inside and out. So glad he could help Annie understand about Heaven. Dragon was a great pet!!!

Jenna, the picture of Annie is so great. Those are the pictures I love to have as a mom. They show exactly what they are feeling. So cute, yet so sad.

Pets are one thing Scott and I have not agreed to. Don't know if we ever will.

So sad.... I love the pic of the girls hugging. Some of the pics could make any of us cry from how sad they looked.
